What Happens When My Amazon Product Is Out of Stock?

Scaled Creator can check whether the Amazon product matched to your video is in stock. A setting in Post Settings called Post Out-of-Stock Products decides what happens when it isn't.

  • When it's on, the video posts whether or not the matched Amazon product is in stock.

  • When it's off, auto-post skips a video whose matched Amazon product is out of stock. The video stays in Pending with a red Out of Stock banner.

Even when a product is out of stock, you still earn commission on anything shoppers buy on Amazon after clicking your link.

Getting a held video posted

  • Swap in an in-stock product. If you have an in-stock Amazon listing, change the product on the video. Here's how to change an Amazon product link, along with a short video walkthrough. Once the product is in stock, auto-post includes the video again. The new product is also used for every video matched to the same TikTok Shop product.

  • Post it manually. See the next section for how out-of-stock products are handled when you post yourself.

What happens when I post an out-of-stock video manually?

The Post Out-of-Stock Products setting only applies to auto-posting. When you post manually, we check Amazon stock at that moment, and in-stock posts go out right away. If the product is out of stock, you choose what happens before you post.

  • Use another listing posts the video with an in-stock listing of the exact same product. If there isn't one, we ask you what to do.

  • Ask me first holds the post and lets you choose what to do.

If you'd rather your videos auto-post regardless of stock from now on, turn on Post Out-of-Stock Products in Post Settings.
