Button DMs and Link DMs send the same links to your commenters. The difference is how they look. Link DMs show each link as a plain, clickable URL, while Button DMs turn each link into a tappable button. Which one to use comes down to preference.
How to get Button DMs
Button DMs need your Instagram connected through Facebook, which means your Instagram has to be linked to your Facebook Page first.
Make sure your Instagram is linked to your Facebook Page. Here's how to link your Instagram to your Facebook Page.
Go to your Accounts page and disconnect Instagram.
Click the Instagram icon and choose Connect through Facebook.
How to rename your buttons
Go to your Messages page.
Open the Button DM section and make sure it's active.
Click Edit Message.
Change the button text under Customize Button Label, then save.
The Button DM and Link DM templates are edited separately, so changes to one don't carry over to the other.
Switching back to Link DMs
There isn't a toggle to switch between the two formats yet. To go back to Link DMs, disconnect Instagram on your Accounts page, then reconnect it using Connect Instagram directly.
