Why Was My Amazon Associates Application Rejected or Account Suspended?

Why Amazon rejects or suspends accounts and how to request another review

Amazon usually rejects or suspends an account when it can't verify where your affiliate traffic comes from. The most common causes are:

  • The Store ID in Scaled Creator doesn't match the Store ID in Amazon Associates.

  • Not every website and social account where you share links is listed in Amazon Associates.

  • A listed URL didn't load when Amazon checked it, was mistyped, or points to a private account.

How do I fix it?

  1. Add every website and social account. In Amazon Associates, open Websites and Mobile Apps and add every platform where you share affiliate links. At a minimum, add Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. Facebook often isn't accepted, but add it anyway. Also add https://www.scaledcreator.com. Then open each URL in a browser and confirm it loads. Here's a video walkthrough.

  2. Check your Store ID. Make sure the Store ID on your Accounts page exactly matches the one in Amazon Associates. Here's how to find your Store ID.

  3. Request another review. Reply to Amazon's email and ask them to review your account again.

What should I tell Amazon?

Explain how you use Scaled Creator. You post product content on your social accounts, and when viewers comment to ask for the link, Scaled Creator sends them your Amazon affiliate link by DM. That shows Amazon exactly where your traffic comes from and where your links go.

What if Amazon still declines?

Creating a new Amazon Associates account and following the steps above often resolves it.

Is this a problem with Scaled Creator's links?

Almost never. From our testing and feedback from many users, commissions are credited correctly when the Store ID is set up correctly. In almost every case, rejections and suspensions come from how the Amazon Associates account is set up.
