My Videos Are Showing as Failed and Not Cross-Posting

Why a video shows Failed and how to get it posted

A Failed status means Scaled Creator tried to post your video to your connected platforms, but the post didn't go through. In most cases the cause is a connection that needs renewing, and you can fix it in a few minutes.

Reconnect Instagram and Facebook

Instagram and Facebook connections expire every 60 days. They can also expire sooner after changes to your Facebook or Instagram account, such as a new password. When a connection expires, posts to that platform fail until you reconnect it.

  1. Open a private or incognito browser window.

  2. Go to your Accounts page.

  3. Disconnect Instagram and Facebook, then reconnect both.

  4. When connecting Facebook, select your Facebook Page, not your personal profile.

If you manage more than one Facebook Page, here's how to select the right one when connecting. A private or incognito browser window helps avoid conflicts from saved Facebook and Instagram logins.

Check that the video is still on TikTok

If the original video was deleted or edited on TikTok, Scaled Creator can no longer find it, and it shows as Failed. Instead of trying to recover the original, upload the edited version to TikTok as a new video. It will sync into Scaled Creator automatically.

Post failed videos manually

Once your connections are working, you can post failed videos yourself. Here's how to post a video manually.

Still failing?

If videos still fail after reconnecting, email [email protected] with the title of a failed video and which platform it failed to post to.
