How Do I Use Instagram's Paid Partnership Label?

How Scaled Creator applies Instagram's Paid Partnership label and why it can come and go

Scaled Creator doesn't have direct control over Instagram's Paid Partnership (Brand Partnership) label. However, we do have an automation that will automatically apply the label if Instagram determines your account is eligible.

Why does the label appear and then disappear?

Unfortunately, Instagram doesn't publicly disclose any of the following.

  • Which creators qualify

  • Why an account qualifies

  • When an account gains or loses eligibility

Because of this, you may see the label being added automatically for a period of time, then disappear, and later return. This behavior is entirely controlled by Instagram, and we aren't able to override or influence it.

What should I do if Instagram asks me to add the label?

If you see a notification from Instagram asking you to add the Paid Partnership label, we recommend doing your own due diligence by tapping Learn More within Instagram and determining whether your specific video requires the label.

In our experience, most videos promoting a TikTok Shop product should use the Paid Partnership label, but you should always review Instagram's guidance for your specific content.
